Resiliency Reimagined, recorded at the Center for Strength in Highlands Ranch Colorado, is a podcast centered around mental health, and trauma recovery. We will focus on both traditional and alternative methods of trauma recovery, sharing stories, celebrating victories within our community, and furthering the mission of the Center for Strength. The Center promotes recovery and resilience for the community impacted by the tragedy on May 7, 2019 at STEM School Highlands Ranch through social connection and wellness programming.
In this episode, Kathy Hulley, founder of the Mane Mission, defines resiliency, discusses how animal assisted therapy and adventure experiences impact individuals, and discusses her partnership with the STEM Center for Strength. Kathy discusses her motivation to work with individuals impacted by mass violence, and the journey that led her to her current work. Kathy highlights how experiential therapy can be impactful for individuals who have tried other types of therapy without success, and also discusses the journey some of her animals have take on their way to the Mane Mission.
