Embrace Where You Are with Mindful Meditation

Join our clinician, James Nee LCSW, for a one hour mindfulness session. You’ll focus on practicing skills such as body scanning and noting to help you learn how to ground and lessen the impact of stress and anxiety in your day to day life. The clinician will teach these skills in the beginning of the group and then facilitate the group through a guided meditation to practice the skills
All ages encouraged!
James has been a social worker for over 10 years and has worked in many different capacities as a social worker.
He specializes in anxiety, trauma, and relationships and owns a private practice where he supports people of all ages who may be struggling with any of these issues. He finds knowledge is power, so he tends to provide a lot of education on the brain and help people understand how their brain is trying to be helpful. He believes that if we know what is happening, we can more easily access skills and tools to help us in the moment.
He also believes it’s important to find what works for you. Mental health is so specific to the individual that part of my job is helping figure out how you best process and heal.
He lives in Denver with his partner, our dog, and our cat but grew up in Wisconsin.
