This art project offers participants an opportunity to recognize and celebrate what makes them unique and special. Studies have shown that victims of trauma can become “stuck” and lose the ability to not only see the good in the world around them, but also within themselves. This loss of awareness can inhibit healing, even with therapeutic interventions. Activities where individuals can be encouraged and gently guided toward self-awareness can promote healing and getting “unstuck.”
