Eating Disorders have many roots and origins, one of which is trauma. Over 60% of patients in eating disorder treatment have experienced some form of a traumatic event. Come join us for an informative presentation in order to better understand the relationship between trauma and eating disorders and the resources available to you, your loved ones, and your community.

Vera Bublitz, Psy.D. is a postdoctoral fellow at EDCare. She obtained both her master’s degree (2018) and doctoral degree (2021) in Clinical Psychology from the University of Denver. Dr. Bublitz completed her APA-accredited internship at the Colorado Mental Health Institute at Fort Logan, a state psychiatric hospital, where she provided individual therapy, group therapy, and psychological assessment services, as well as evaluated patients for the civil commitment process. Throughout her graduate training, she has provided assessment and therapy services in community mental health centers, a non-profit trauma therapy clinic, a high school, and in EDCare’s evening intensive outpatient program (EIOP). Dr. Bublitz is passionate about working with individuals with eating disorders, severe and persistent mental illness, and trauma. She has completed training in EMDR, and seeks to provide her clients with high-quality, trauma-informed care.
